I was interested to see the name Head-the-Ball, used in the comment above. This was a popular term of abuse when I was growing up in Waterford and I’ve never heard it anywhere else. As a man who is interested in words you might know whether it is unique to Waterford.
It was great to see you and Sile recently and the banana bread and apple jelly were delicious.
