It started very early with a call from Sile to say her mum had died during the night.
A sad moment.
Sile’s mother has had Alzheimers for a few years now so in way she had left us already.

I spent some hours trying to change my flight home with Ryanair only to discover that the funeral wasn’t going to be until Saturday when I would be home anyway.

She was a great lady and always a terrific mother-in-law.

Slán Mamo.

So sorry about Síle’s Mum. She was my mother’s bridesmaid. When I heard from Clive that she had died I thought of the photgraph of my mother and she on their bikes somewhere in West Cork in the 1930s- both looking so young and so happy.
