Dear Mr. Martin,
Seeing you and Dany bringing the old harvest dance to life once again,(your lovely straight backs, and graceful arm extensions!, -pity you forgot to wear the authentic shoulder slung collecting baskets !), reminded me of our own almost forgotten ‘crab apple quadrille’. The movements are quite similar, with outstretched arms and rigid back, though each dancer always holds the curved and decorated ‘knockdown stick’, and each pair face each other on opposite sides of the tree. Would you consider joining our group of harvest dance conservationists? U

Yes I know Madame U that there are various plageristic copies of the Languedoc Valse des Almonds. One of the things they never get right is that the VDA is ALWAYS performed with ones back to the audience- quite unlike the Crab Apple Quadrille which is performed sideways with ones left side facing stage front- as far as I am concerned a ridiculous way to perform any tree dance.
