Gerber is now not only known as a famous baby food manufacturer, but also for the fact that it shares its name with the French verb ‘to vomit’ – not a great start when you want to go global. It got worse when they tried to sell their products in Africa, jars of Gerber baby food whereby the label depicts a picture of a healthy smiley baby.
