Susie Gossip’s Lemonade

3 Large Lemons
3 Large Oranges
60g (2 oz.) Tartaric Acid
60g (2 oz.) Epsom Salts
30g (1 oz.) Citric Acid
2.2kg (4 lbs) Sugar
1.3 ltrs (45 fl. oz.) Boiling Water
Zest the fruit (you can use all lemons if you like)
And squeeze the juices.
Stir all the ingredients together.
Leave overnight.
(Stir from time to time and make sure all the sugar has dissolved)
Strain and bottle.
This is a concentrate and has to be dissolved
with about 3 or 4 times its volume with water or soda water
before drinking
